NEW INDEPENDENT TEST COMPARES ORIGINAL LAMPS WITH COPY LAMPS

Report from KEMA reveals potential pitfalls for users choosing copy lamps.

In recent independent tests commissioned from KEMA, 3 copy lamp brands were compared with Diamond Lamps incorporating the Philips bulbs.

The study looked at how the independently purchased product arrived, and assessed the quality of packaging, labelling and supporting documentation together with their general ability to be installed straight into a projector. They summarized that, “….Philips lamps did have all the markings on the lamps in contrast to lamps from other manufacturers which did not have any markings at all.”.

It also looked at performance levels, specifically light output of lamps for both projectors and rear-projection TV. The conclusion was, “Philips lamps have a significantly higher luminance output than the lamps from other manufacturers.”.
